Jordan Redford Gossamer Gray is an English-born comedienne, recording artist, radio host, actress, author, activist and Pokémon Master. She came to fame on BBC1’s The Voice UK in 2016 #TeamPaloma. Jordan made TV history as the show’s first ever Transgender contestant – and the first competitor ever to be asked back to the show within the same series. Her ‘Battle Round’ duet with Theo Llewellyn is widely regarded as not only the series’ emotional highlight but also one of ‘the most honest moments in reality television’.

In 2017, After a decade in the pop and indie music industry, touring and recording under the pseudonym Tall Dark Friend, Jordan announced her leap to stand up comedy… on April 1st.

Jordan regularly tours the UK and Europe. Hailing from Essex, she officially resides in Scotland and calls Sweden her spiritual home.

Comedically, she draws from the likes of Russel Brand, Tim Minchin, Kate McKinnon, Ricky Gervias and Chris D’Elia.

Musically, her voice and stage persona have been likened to Marc Bolan, Kate Bush, Michael Jackson, Freddy Mercury, David Bowie, Florence Welch and Tracy Chapman.

Beyond BBC’s ‘The Voice’, Jordan’s TV work includes ongoing appearances on the BBC, ITV, SBTV, Essex TV and Sky Living HD. She herself hosts a weekly guest-based FM radio show (“The ExtraJordanary Show” on Phoenix 98FM). Previous guests include Jim Norton, Scroobius Pip, Boy George, Hazel Dean and Ani Walis. Jordan features regularly on regional, national and international radio and podcast shows. Highlights include guesting on BBC Radio 1 with Paloma Faith and a feature episode on Scroobius Pip’s chart topping ‘Distraction Pieces’ podcast (iTunes #1 download). Excerpts from her episode were also featured in the podcast’s best-selling novelisation.
