Assembly – Toys and Gender Stereotyping
How Do We Break The STEREOTYPES?
During this assembly, students will learn that:
- A stereotype is a set idea that people have about what someone or something is like.
- Stereotypical means a standard viewpoint held by many people. This viewpoint isn’t always correct.
- For example, it is Stereotypical to think that girls play with dolls all the time.
- It is also Stereotypical to think wrestling figures are only made for boys to play with.
